Job Overview

Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a large academic, Level IV Trauma facility serving neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.

This role requires strong critical care experience and the ability to float within scope to meet patient care needs across multiple units.

• 3x12 Night Shift
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Some holidays as scheduled
• No on-call required

Facility may consider 4x10 schedule — to be discussed during interview.

Orientation occurs every other Monday.

• Neonates
• Infants
• Pediatrics
• Adolescents
• Adults
• Geriatrics

• Minimum 1 year RRT experience
• Critical Care experience required
• General Care experience required
• Adult and/or Pediatric experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

• Adult & Pediatric Critical Care
• NICU experience
• Intubation assist & extubation
• Tracheostomy care & management
• Mechanical ventilation (IMV/SIMV, Pressure/Volume Ventilation)
• High Flow Nasal Cannula
• CPAP/BiPAP
• High Frequency Oscillator
• Arterial Blood Gas interpretation & collection
• Assist in high-risk deliveries
• Neonatal respiratory distress management

• RRT required
• BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS required
• PALS required
• NALS (for Pediatrics) required
• WV or Compact License (pending license accepted)

Certifications must be American Heart Association if required by unit.

• Short Term Acute Care
• Level IV Trauma Center
• Major teaching hospital
• Scrubs provided
• Cerner charting
• Free parking

• Float within scope as needed
• May float to sister facilities
• Open to block scheduling (not guaranteed)

100-mile radius required for travelers. Facility may consider 75–100 miles on case-by-case basis. Minimum 2 manager or charge references required. SSN, DOB, certifications, and RTO must be included at time of submission. Full compliance file due by noon Monday prior to start date. Orientation every other Monday.
