Northwood is expanding its substance use recovery services and is seeking a passionate, qualified individual to join our team. This full‑time Peer Recovery position will primarily involve working with individuals who are exiting incarceration and reentering the community, providing them with the support and guidance necessary to sustain long‑term recovery.
We are seeking applicants who are eligible for West Virginia Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) certification and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
Peer Recovery Support Services are delivered by trained individuals who have lived experience with substance use and recovery. As a Peer Recovery Support Specialist, you will use your personal experience to build trust, offer support, and extend the reach of treatment beyond the clinical setting‑into the community, homes, and other reentry environments. Your role will be vital in helping justice‑involved individuals stay engaged in the recovery process and successfully reintegrate into the community.
Clinical supervision will be provided.

Qualifications:
- Personal lived experience with substance use disorder
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Must pass a background check
- Enjoy working with people in recovery
