Overview

This position provides administrative oversight/services for Medicaid providers that deliver Early and Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) services in an assigned region of the state. Regional Specialists are responsible for conducting site visits to all Health Check Primary Care Providers in the assigned region on a regular basis to provide the necessary tools and knowledge to carry out EPSDT services that meet reasonable standards of medical practices.

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

Additional experience as described below may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.

Two (2) years full‑time, equivalent part‑time paid or volunteer experience in a technical or program area that is related to the area of employment.

Post‑graduate education in a field related to the area of employment may be substituted for the required experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours for one (1) year of experience.

Master's degree in social work from a regionally accredited social work program or a regionally accredited college or university.

Appointment above the entry rate may be made at 5% for each six (6) months of successfully completed work as an intern in a practicum placement with the Department of Health and Human Resources for the Master of Social Work degree.

One (1) year of full‑time or equivalent part‑time paid experience in the Health and Human Resources series may substitute for the required training and experience.
