Talent Manager
Overview
Under supervision of the Director of Staffing Services, this employee performs full performance work performing the Human Resources functions for the DCR Central Office Special Services, Investigators, and K-9 expenditures. This includes, but is not limited to recruiting, ensuring vacant positions are posted and requesting registers, coding registers, submitting hiring packets to DAS to include offer letters, requesting employee background checks, coordinating submission of workers compensation claims, managing employee benefits submission to DAS, providing proper documentation to back up all employee transactions (discipline letters, leave of absence letters, and FMLA).
This position will review salary requests in accordance with internal policy directives that guide compliance with SPB Proposal approvals, for the Deputy Commissioner. The position will advise the DCR recruitment section in regard to agency and facility vacancies, and all applicable position information to assist the recruitment team with hiring events, advertising, and social media.

- Recruitment support for the DCR Central Office Special Services, Investigators, and K-9 expenditures, including posting vacancies, requesting registers, and coding registers.
- Submit hiring packets to the Division of Personnel for approval, including offer letters.
- Request employee background checks and coordinate submission of workers compensation claims.
- Manage employee benefits submissions to DAS and provide proper documentation to back up all employee transactions (discipline letters, leaves of absence letters, and FMLA).
- Review salary requests in accordance with internal policy directives that guide SPB Proposal approvals for the Deputy Commissioner.
- Training: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Substitution: Candidates may substitute related experience in human resources, payroll, bookkeeping or accounting for the required education at the rate of one (1) year of experience for thirty (30) semester hours of education.
- Note: A valid driver’s license may be required.
