Start your IT career with Encova Insurance as an End User Compute Collaboration Administrator. In this hybrid role based in Charleston, WV, you will support collaboration tools that keep our business connected. Working alongside technology professionals, you’ll develop technical skills while contributing to projects that support associates across the organization.
Encova is only able to employ associates who reside and work within specific U.S. states. Current permissible states include:

- Learn and develop a technical aptitude for technology as it relates to collaboration environments.
- Learn and develop a technical understanding of virtualization and cloud‑based collaboration technologies.
- Build an overall technical aptitude for technology and information technology principles.
- Assist others in technical project teams, both local and remote.
- Develop and provide the ability to serve as Microsoft Teams engineer, supporting the end‑user environment and the Microsoft Tenant footprint.
- Develop and provide support for Microsoft Teams phone system and endpoints.
- Develop and provide support for Genesys and WebRTC systems.
- Develop and provide the ability to serve as Open Text XMedia fax systems.
- Execute the completion of basic tasks and phases of projects and client‑based collaboration system support.
- Ensure that deployment standards are met by following solution/project team scope documentation.
- Participate in knowledge transfer from other workplace services associates to enhance abilities to complete technical tasks.
- Develop an understanding of technical systems analysis and design.
- Provide feedback with consulting support and technical topics.
- Assist in technical activities leading to the resolution of business application and technical problems.
- Abide by current Encova division and department standards.
- Develop an understanding of the effects of company decisions on the systems, including new project charters.
- Be coached and mentored by team members to aid in career development.
- Develop an understanding of projecting software and hardware requirements and budgets, including review of contracts and associated assets.
- Process request, incident and problem tickets as well as participate in support activities.
- Complete basic tasks assigned by other team members that involve working with business stakeholders and product vendors to design integrations to desired systems.
- Learn and support new tools, technologies, and processes to continuously improve software delivery.
- Process and complete basic project tasks and provide status updates.
- Adhere to Encova IT principles such as High Availability, Least Privilege, and Customer Service.
- Gain awareness of current technology trends and compliance regulations.
- Engage in shared knowledge and provide cross‑training sessions with other members of the team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Entry‑level administrator focusing on phone systems, faxing, Microsoft Teams, WebRTC, virtualization, cloud technologies, IT processes, and regulatory compliance; proactive support of customer‑facing solutions.
- 3 years of IT experience preferred.
- Associate’s degree with a major in computer information systems or engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.
- General understanding of deployment and implementation project team procedures.
- Highly motivated and ambitious, excellent communication skills, creative and critical thinker.
- General IT engineering understanding, including operating systems, fax solutions, servers, virtualization, and cloud technologies (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).
