Systems Engineer
Job Summary
MES/MoM Support Engineer with strong ITOT convergence experience to support and sustain manufacturing execution systems across SMT Surface Mount Technology production lines.
This role focuses on gathering requirements for current OT activities and MES/MoM platforms with shopfloor machines, PLC, and SCADA equipment, working closely with plant operations engineering and vendors. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between IT and OT, ensuring real‑time data flows, production continuity, and rapid incident resolution in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide L2/L3 support for MES/MoM systems (e.g., Proficy Ignition or custom MES platforms).
- Support plant operations to ensure the correct IT/OT requirements are gathered and delivered to responsible stakeholders.
- Monitor and resolve production issues related to:
- Production orders, WIP tracking, and traceability.
- Quality data collection and defect tracking.
- Gather MES quality and SPC requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues related to:
- Machine connectivity (OPC UA, MQTT, vendor protocols).
- Data gaps, latency, or incorrect production signals.
- Act as liaison between plant engineering controls teams, central IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud MES teams.
- Support OT network connectivity and segmentation; secure vendor remote access and compliance requirements.
- Support SMT line commissioning and MES rollout activities including:
- System setup, configuration, and testing.
- FAT and SAT testing.
- Production go‑live and hypercare.
- 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Strong IT/OT convergence experience in manufacturing execution systems across SMT production lines.
- Experience with PLC, SCADA, OPC UA, and MQTT.
- Ability to act as a bridge between IT and OT, ensuring real‑time data flow and rapid incident resolution.

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance and internal equity.
