Senior Dev Ops Engineer – Netflix, Charleston, USA

Salary: $20-30/hour

• Coordinating the design and deployment of software into multiple internal and external environments.
• Collaborating with engineers to analyze and develop new and advanced infrastructure solutions for customers.
• Automating, improving, and maintaining build and deployment procedures.
• Reviewing code written by others, analyzing outcomes, and providing constructive feedback.
• Ensuring that builds and deployments adhere to documented best practices and function as intended.
• Responding to outages and alerts promptly to maintain public and internal availability of online services and infrastructure.
• Assisting in the maintenance and support of virtual and physical environments.
• Creating monitoring solutions to gain insight into application performance and detect potential issues.
• Participating in on‑call support and ensuring 24/7 availability of deployment services.
• Demonstrating reliability, responsibility, and professionalism in all work‑related interactions.

• Strong experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS servers via console and command line.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Dev Ops, automation frameworks, build tools, Jenkins, and source‑control systems such as Perforce/Helix/Git.
• Experience with Perforce-based version repositories and branching strategies, including stream and virtual streams.
• Proficiency in setting up and running CI/CD pipelines, clusters, networking stacks, VMs, and containers.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS.
• Preferred: knowledge of PostgreSQL, LDAP, Unity, C#, Xcode, Visual Studio, databases, caching technologies, Python, Bash, OAuth, Proxmox, Ceph, virtual SAN, high‑speed networking.
• Reliable transportation to and from the office, and ability to travel for on‑site responsibilities as required.

Center hours are 10am to 6pm CST. The role may require occasional longer hours, including working outside of core hours to meet tight deadlines.
