Build and execute workforce development initiatives to support Monarch’s long-term operations and maintenance staffing needs. This role develops partnerships with universities, community colleges, trade schools, and regional workforce boards to create clear pathways into operator and technician roles.
The Workforce Development Coordinator helps ensure AIP can staff and scale operations locally while building durable community value.
Key Responsibilities- Develop partnerships with regional education and training institutions to build talent pipelines for operators, technicians, and site support roles.
- Design and coordinate apprenticeship, internship, and certification programs aligned to facility needs.
- Coordinate with site leadership to translate workforce demand into training plans and program targets.
- Support recruiting efforts for local hiring, including job fairs, outreach events, and community engagement.
- Track program participation and outcomes; maintain reporting for leadership and external stakeholders as needed.
- Identify state and federal workforce grant opportunities and support application / compliance administration.
- Develop marketing and outreach materials in coordination with communications and community relations.
- Serve as a point of contact for workforce partners and maintain a structured engagement calendar.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, workforce development, business, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in workforce development, training program management, education partnerships, or related roles.
- Strong relationship-building skills and comfort engaging with public and private stakeholders.
- Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, energy, or skilled trades workforce programs is a plus.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Ability to be based in Charleston, WV with periodic travel to Point Pleasant and regional partner sites.
