Position: Criminal Justice Program Manager - DHS - Division of Administrative Services - Kanawha Co.

Overview

The Criminal Justice Program Manager oversees the implementation and administration of multiple federal and state grants, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and program goals.

This position is responsible for supervising a dedicated team, managing budgets, ensuring adherence to reporting requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders to advance criminal justice initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee grant applications, renewals, modifications, and closeouts; conduct workshops and assist with development of policy and protocols; support and facilitate meetings and events for statewide committees, advisory boards, and task forces; assist state, county, and non‑profit agencies in program development and grant application submission; assist agencies with familiarity of the criminal justice system and community training and development.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor criminal justice programs that address community needs and align with grant priorities.
  • Prepare and submit timely reports to grantors, agency leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • Supervise a dedicated team, manage budgets, ensure adherence to reporting requirements, and collaborate with stakeholders to advance criminal justice initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited four‑year college or university.
  • Six years of full‑time or part‑time equivalent paid professional experience in grants development or grants administration, program planning, project administration, or criminal justice, including two years in a supervisory capacity.
  • A master’s degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of the required non‑supervisory experience.
