American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring at least 2 years of experience and ACLS/BLS certifications.
Responsibilities- Position is in the Interventional Radiology unit of a short-term acute care, Level IV trauma center
- Adult and geriatric patient population with 1:1 RN staffing ratios
- Performs specialized procedures including angiogram, fistulogram, permacath, EVAR, TCAR, TAVR, Mitra Clip, mechanical thrombectomy, and embolization
- Patient diagnoses include CKD, CAD, PAD, PVD, stenosis, AAA, stroke, and aneurysm
- Uses Cerner for charting
- Scheduled for 4x10 hour weekday shifts from 7:30am to 4:00pm
- On-call rotation every 5th weekend, with additional call requirements discussed during interview
- May be required to float to lab settings as needed
- Initial orientation includes two days of classroom training followed by unit-specific orientation
- First-time travelers are welcome if they have Interventional Radiology experience
- Royal blue or white scrubs are required for RNs
- Free parking is provided for travelers
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility unless approved by facility
- Two managerial or charge references from the last two years are required for consideration
- Former permanent employees cannot return as travelers within two years of last employment date
- Active WV or compact RN license required by start date
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Interventional Radiology experience is required for consideration
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) unless medical exemption documented
