Registered Nurse - Ortho-Telemetry (Nights)

This is a 13-week contract position.

4x12-Hour Night Shift (19:00 - 07:00) with every other weekend required.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Ortho-Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac care, with the ability to manage a variety of patients including those experiencing acute myocardial infarction, unstable angina, congestive heart failure, and unstable arrhythmias. The unit functions with a mix of inpatient and observation patients, requiring high turnaround and adaptability.

• Manage patient care for 5-7 patients with a focus on telemetry monitoring and intervention.
• Perform advanced procedures such as cardioversion, thoracentesis, and central line insertion.
• Administer and monitor required intravenous drips including heparin, cardizem, and amiodarone.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and respiratory services for optimal patient outcomes.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications via the American Heart Association.
• WV or Compact RN License required, with pending applications accepted.
• Telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias experience preferred.
