Within Nursing Education, you will help lead a comprehensive diabetes education program that partners closely with endocrinology, primary care, and population health; the program is embedded in an academic teaching hospital with 200+ beds and access to simulation labs and modernized units.
Reporting StructureYou will report to the Director of Nursing Education and collaborate closely with Endocrinology and Population Health leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct individualized assessments and lead DSMES classes.
- Onboard CGM and insulin pump users.
- Teach medication and hypoglycemia safety.
- Ensure discharge readiness and track quality metrics.
- Coach and precept staff and provide community‑facing diabetic education.
- Align education with national guidelines and the CDE scope.
