Job Description & Requirements

TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel RN specializing in operating room (OR) nursing for an immediate opening in Charleston, WV.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients, providing pre‑ and post‑surgery care and patient education.
• Circulate within the operating suite (outside the sterile field) to prepare instruments, monitor the patient, and respond to complications.
• Scrub and prepare operating instruments within the sterile field.
• Provide basic bedside care, administer medication, and report adverse reactions.
• Serve as a communication liaison between patients’ families and the operating team.
• Ensure the correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate the patient education plan as prescribed by the physician.

Physical requirements:

stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty; lift up to 20–50 pounds; potential hazards from chemicals or infections in the OR environment.

Requirements:

• BLS certification and at least 2 years of recent acute care experience (circulating or scrub nurse, and/or RN first assistant).
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Total Med Travel Job . Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
