Job Description:
RN would be expected to float to Mother Baby (only if not needed on Labor Delivery). Assignment can be 40 hours if RN would like full-time hours.
Skills Requirements: circulating experience in the OR setting, FHM. IV Start. Triage and Scrub skills a plus.
Unit
Description:
Low-risk and high-risk obstetrics. 14 L&D beds, 6 triage beds, 2 operating rooms, 2 recovery beds, 2 high-risk antepartum. L&D is a regional tertiary care unit supporting local obstetric needs and serving as a receiving port from outlying hospitals. Nurses team with midwives and physicians to maximize the childbirth experience for women seeking minimal intervention, as well as those with major complications.
Experience
Required:
2 years. First-timers accepted: dependent upon # of years experience. Weekend REQ: every other weekend.
Certs REQ: BLS, ACLS, NRP. No blocked schedule requests. Facility utilizes:
Cerner (experience required), Surginet and Fetallink documentation. Locals accepted: no; what is the local radius rule? 100 mile radius (able to request exceptions for 75-99 miles on a case by case basis). Pending state license accepted: yes. Scrub color: royal blue.
Submission Requirements:
One PDF must contain: candidate profile (work history), specialty specific skills checklist, min. 2 Mgr/Charge references (within past 2 years), RN Lic. verification (NURSYs pulled within 2 days of sub date – clean lic. required – hits submitted for case-by-case basis approval), driver's license, SSN.
Flu shot:
Please do not send anyone who refuses flu shot without medical proof. CAMC requires all personnel take flu vaccine unless they have allergy documented by an allergist or physician record. CAMC flu season is October 1st - March 31st. Not required outside of that window. Covid vaccine not required.
