Triggers or Consults from clinical direction or nursing assessments are received regarding patient's skin or ostomy related needs, the WOC Nurses prioritize those seen. Assessments are completed and documented, recommendations for care made and/or lessons for ostomy care are coordinated with patient/care partner.

  Demonstrates consistent use of nursing process in daily practice and manages more complex patients.

  Identifies personal learning needs, assists other staff members in identifying learning needs and develops corrective action plan; maintains own proficiency in clinical skills; promotes T/L process.
• Professional Relationships/Leadership:
  Facilitates interdisciplinary problem solving; monitors practice issues of the interdisciplinary health care team that impact finances and implements appropriate control measures.
• Quality Improvement/Research:
  Demonstrates leadership role by participating in a nursing research study and/or nursing research utilization project to improve nursing knowledge and practice.

Patient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact). The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department’s identified patient ages. Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in:
1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs;
2) knowledge of growth and development; and
3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.

• Bachelor's Degree (Required) –
  
  Experience:
  
  2 years of Nursing experience.

• Registered Nurse (Required)
• Basic Life Support (Required) – Within 30 days of hire
