Home Care Assessor Charleston, WV Area

Job Summary

We are a home care agency that has been in business since 2007 and are looking for a person to perform in-home assessments of elderly clients in the Charleston, WV area (clients located within a 2 hour drive of Charleston, WV). The position pays $40/hour.

• Perform in-home assessments of elderly clients in the Charleston, WV area.
• Visit the client’s home and ask questions about non-medical care needs (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming, light house cleaning).
• Complete each assessment within 30 minutes and record findings.
• Ensure assessments are completed within seven calendar days of notification.

• Preferred:
  Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) license.
• Experience in home health, home care, hospital, nursing home, or assisted living environments is acceptable.
• Must be willing to obtain a TB skin test if not recently performed.
• Must pass a background check.

• Pay: $40/hour, including travel reimbursement at the same rate.
• Flexible hours: 8 am‑8 pm, Monday‑Sunday; weekends only available.
• Position is part-time and can be performed alongside regular employment.

We have recently begun a contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs; the need for assessments will grow as the program expands. The position starts soon.
