Requirements- Active WV or Compact RN license required
- BSN required; an Associate's Degree with 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted
- Minimum 5 years of trauma-related experience required
- Trauma registry experience is required — this is essential to the ACS Level 1 verification process and is a baseline eligibility requirement
- Experience with ACS standards, 2-digit vs. 4-digit audit filters (state and ACS), and peer performance improvement among trauma surgeons required
- Experience performing PI coordination specifically for ACS Level 1 trauma center verification (not CMS or floor-level PI) required
- PALS, ACLS, and TNCC are preferred
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Day shift schedule, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- Works within a specialized trauma department focused on performance improvement and ACS Level 1 verification
- Responsible for coordination of multidisciplinary trauma performance improvement activities including data collection, analysis, trending, and benchmarking
- Maintains the trauma registry database and submits data to the National Trauma Data Bank and WV State Central Trauma Registry
- Also serves as the Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator (PECC), overseeing pediatric emergency care standards and protocols in the Emergency Department
- Coordinates monthly Trauma Systems & Operations Committee and Peer Review Meetings
- Business casual dress code required
- Serves as a liaison to clinical areas responsible for trauma patient care
- Participates in hospital education programs for nurses and resident physicians caring for trauma patients
- Leads development and updating of policies and procedures for pediatric emergency patient care
- Collaborates with nursing education to ensure competency across all pediatric care areas
- This is a highly specialized role — management experience alone does not meet the qualifications; direct trauma PI and registry experience is essential

- Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options
- 401(k) Plan
- Weekly Payroll Deposit
- Free Online CEUs
- Generous Housing Allowance
- Travel and Licensure Reimbursements
