Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)

Description:

5S Trauma Stepdown (IMC/PCU) RN3x12 or 4x12 DAYS 7A-730P, weekdays, EOW, float-mgr can call traveler off 1x per 2-week pay period IF necessary
** Please limit holiday RTO requests to no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays
** 25 Floor Beds, 6 Step-Down Beds, 6 Peds Beds. Multidisciplinary team approach in providing nursing care to multi-system-injured trauma patients and surgical patients. A six-bed intermediate care stepdown unit provides an intermediate level of care. Ideal candidates could have a background of PCU, IMC, Trauma, SDU. Travelers would not be required to see the Peds patients. It is possible that the unit could use a traveler for floor beds only this will be discussed ios:
Floor RN: 1:5 / SDU: 1:3

Every other weekend requiredBLS, ACLS, Fit Test, CPI (Travelers can get CPI done with Qualivis), TNCC preferred

Skill Requirements: IV Start, Vents, Telemetry, Level 1 Trauma Experience, Conscious Sedation Clinician can be floated within scope to meet facilities needs

100mi. Radius Rule (75-99mi. can be sent for facility approval)
WV/Compact RN License required - can submit with pending RN license - can submit with pending RN license

Submission Requirements:

Perm employees cannot return to CAMC as a traveler for 2 years after last day worked perm

Flu Shot:
Please DO NOT SEND ANYONE WHO REFUSES FLU SHOT WITHOUT MEDICAL PROOF. CAMC requires all personnel take flu vaccine unless they have allergy documented by an allergist or physician record. CAMC FLU SEASON IS OCTOBER 1st - MARCH 31st. NOT REQUIRED OUTSIDE OF THAT WINDOW.Covid Vaccine NOT required-All candidates are required to complete a fit test in advance using one of the approved masks.

-The candidate s agency is responsible for coordinating and scheduling the fit test, with all available options explored.

-Candidates may be required to travel up to 100 miles to complete the fit test. ONE PDF MUST CONTAIN:
Candidate profile (work history), Specialty specific skills checklist, Min. 2 Mgr/Charge References (within past 2yrs.), RN Lic. verification (NURSYs pulled within 2 days of sub date clean lic. required hits submitted for case-by-case basis approval), Driver's License, SSN.
