Registered Nurse – Operating Room

The OR RN Suites-6 is responsible for providing specialized perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in a fast-paced operating room environment. This role involves supporting various ophthalmologic and general surgeries with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative and intraoperative nursing care, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Assist surgeons during procedures such as scleral buckle, vitrectomy, corneal transplants, cataracts, and others.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Maintain sterile field and proper instrument handling throughout surgical procedures.
• Document patient care activities accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and provide support during complex surgeries.

Qualifications:

• Credentialed as a Registered Nurse with current licensure.
• Hold BLS certification.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience, preferably in ophthalmology.
• Demonstrate strong skills in surgical assistance, sterile technique, and patient monitoring.
• Be able to work scheduled shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with flexibility for late cases.
• Meet the drive distance requirement outside 50 miles from the facility.
