This is a substantial Emergency Medicine coverage need offering 12+ shifts per month within a 22-bed hospital Emergency Department. Schedule
Multiple shifts are available across the daily coverage model:
- 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- 2:00 PM – 1:00 AM
- 2:00 PM – 2:00 AM
Candidates should have flexibility across available shift times and be prepared to make a consistent monthly commitment of 12+ shifts

Practice within a 132-bed hospital supporting a 22-bed Emergency Department and approximately 24,000 annual visits.
Providers have access to specialty support including:
- Anesthesiology
- Cardiology
- General Surgery
- Internal Medicine
- OB/GYN
- Orthopedics
- Pediatrics
- Radiology
- Urology
- Hematology/Oncology
Clinical Scope
Providers should be comfortable practicing across the spectrum of hospital-based Emergency Medicine, including:
- Evaluation and treatment of acute illness and injury
- Adult and pediatric Emergency Medicine
- Emergency assessment and stabilization
- Medical and traumatic presentations
- Diagnostic evaluation and interpretation
- Emergency procedures within established privileges
- Patient disposition and transfer coordination
- Collaboration with Emergency Medicine physicians
- Coordination with available specialty services
Who We’re Seeking
This opportunity is designed for an experienced Emergency Medicine NP or PA
, not an entry-level Emergency Medicine assignment.
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Active, unrestricted West Virginia professional license
- Appropriate NP or PA board certification (
NCCNP or NCCPA
) - 5+ years of Emergency Medicine experience
- Current ACLS,ATLS, BLS,PALS
- Strong acute-care assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Comfortable managing a broad Emergency Medicine patient population
- Ability to commit to substantial recurring monthly coverage
An active West Virginia license is required to move forward; the facility will not process candidates with a pending license
