Medical Surgical / Telemetry RN Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, requiring three or four shifts per week, including every other weekend.

As a Medical Surgical / Telemetry RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients experiencing cardiac-related issues. This position involves monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and care procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Perform procedures including but not limited to cardioversion, thoracentesis, and central line insertions.
• Float to other units as needed within the scope of practice.

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in a telemetry or medical-surgical specialty.
• BLS/BCLS certification required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• WV or Compact RN License required; pending licenses may be accepted.
• Experience with post-cardiac catheterization care is required.
