Travel RN - Cath Lab​/EP

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN requiring 2+ years of RN experience with competency in diagnostic, interventional, and structural cath lab procedures.

• Active WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted at submission but must be active in hand prior to start
• ARRT registration required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year of competency in Cath Lab diagnostic, interventional, and structural procedures
• RCIS certification is not accepted in lieu of RN licensure for this role in WV
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Two Manager or Charge Nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

• Work in the Cath Lab department of a short-term acute care hospital
• Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital affiliated with the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH)
• Daily caseload of 8-10 cases per tech
• Patient ratio of 1:10
• Day shift schedule of 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call required with a 30-minute response time
• Weekend on-call rotation from Friday 7 PM through Monday 7 AM, rotating AM/PM first call and back-up call
• Minimal floating expected, with staff primarily remaining in the Cath Lab
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Provide direct patient care in cath lab diagnostic and interventional procedures, including structural heart cases
• Scrubs are provided
• Free parking available for travelers
• No floating outside of the Cath Lab department expected
• No RTO restrictions
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; those within 75-99 miles may be considered case-by-case at facility approval
• Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from their last date of employment before returning as a traveler
• Current employees of the Vandalia Health System (including CAMC Health Systems, Mon Health Systems, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System) are not eligible for this travel contract
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position; prior cath lab experience is required
