American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of RN experience and a WV or compact RN license.
Details- 32-bed Med/Surg Tele unit treating cardiac, vascular, surgical, pulmonary and telemetry patients
- Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours (7p-7a), weekdays with every other weekend required
- Floating within scope required as needed
- Charting completed in Cerner
- Scrub color requirement of Royal Blue/White for RNs
- Active WV or compact RN license required (pending license accepted for submission)
- Minimum 2 years RN experience required
- Minimum 1 year in-specialty experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Located in a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital, member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH)
- Orientation held every other week on Thursday
- Candidates must reside within a 100-mile radius, with 75-99 miles considered on a case-by-case facility approval basis
- Schedule requests cannot be guaranteed by the manager
- No RTO restrictions, though time off requests must be disclosed during the interview process
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless documented medical exemption provided
- COVID vaccine not required
- Free parking provided for travelers
- First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
- Previous perm employees must wait 2 years after their last day worked before returning as a traveler
