Location: Charleston, West Virginia

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, Days (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM), with every other weekend call requirement

Highlights:

• Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital with 838 staffed beds
• Average daily census of 22 surgical cases across multiple specialties
• Exposure to diverse case mix including cardiac, vascular, general surgery, robotics, orthopedics, ENT, urology, and gynecology
• Both circulating and scrubbing responsibilities with advanced procedural experience
• Cerner charting system in a well-established acute care environment
• On-call requirement: 1 day per week plus 1-2 weekends per schedule period (30-minute response time)

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year in Operating Room specialty
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association
• Extensive cardiac and general surgery experience required – this is essential
• Proficiency in both circulating and scrubbing roles
• Advanced skills required in vein harvesting, radial artery harvesting, and proficiency across the following procedures: vascular surgeries (AV fistulas/grafts, aortic procedures, bypasses, carotids), orthopedic cases (arthroscopies, total joints), general surgery (colorectal resections, laparoscopic procedures, Whipples, liver resections, mastectomies), ENT procedures (tracheostomies, laryngectomies, radical neck dissections), urology cases (cystectomies, nephrectomies, prostatectomies), robotic surgeries (gynecologic, colorectal, hernias), and gynecologic procedures (hysterectomies, repairs)
• Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (75-99 miles considered case-by-case)
• Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references from past 2 years
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless medical exemption documented
