Job Opportunity – Operating Room RN – West Virginia

Start Date: October 29, 2026

Location: Charleston, West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 Days ) or 4x10s Days ), every other weekend call required. On-call requirement: 1 day per week plus 1-2 weekends per 4-5 week schedule (spread throughout). 30-minute response time when on call. Average daily census: 22 cases. Guaranteed 36 hours per week.

• Cardiovascular surgery experience is mandatory, along with broad surgical exposure
• Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital environment
• Cerner charting system and Accudose medication management
• Orientation held every other week on Fridays

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience; minimum 1 year of in-specialty Operating Room experience
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• MUST have extensive cardiac and general surgery experience
• Proficiency required in vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting
• Demonstrated competency across multiple surgical specialties including:
  Vascular (AV fistulas/grafts, aortic surgeries/bypasses, femoral to popliteal or distal bypasses, carotids, embolectomies), Orthopedic (arthroscopies and total joints), General (colorectal/colon resections, laparoscopic assisted surgeries, whipples, liver resections, thyroids, mastectomies), ENT (trachs, laryngectomies, radical neck dissections), Urology (cystectomies, nephrectomies, prostatectomies, various implants, cysto-related procedures), Robotics (gynecologic, colorectal, hernias, laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication), and Gynecology (abdominal/vaginal hysterectomies, posterior/anterior repairs)
• Minimum 2 Manager or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years
• Permanent address must be at least 100 miles from the facility (75-99 miles may be considered case-by-case)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless medically documented exemption by allergist or physician
• Limit holiday time-off requests to no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays
