Job Summary
Food Safety Specialist responsible for supporting hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients in maintaining brand standards, ensuring high food quality, and delivering customer‑focused service.
Responsibilities- Conduct assessments that measure conformity to regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards.
- Observe food preparation and cooking standards to ensure food safety, health, and sanitation practices.
- Partner with clients to address root causes of assessment discrepancies and develop corrective action plans.
- Teach and coach clients to create a safer and healthier workplace for themselves and their customers.
- Travel 50–70% of the time, or 8–10 days per month, including some evening and weekend work.
- Conduct audits and inspections, implement and monitor food safety training, educate staff, investigate incidents, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain documentation.
- Influence others with tact and skill, provide clear and constructive feedback, and thrive in an autonomous work environment.
- Work a flexible schedule and organize and prioritize workload based on urgency and efficiency.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
- CP‑FS certification or ability to obtain it.
- Serv Safe or CP‑FS certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and strong communication, listening, organization, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work Monday‑Friday, Saturdays and evenings as needed.
- Strong technical knowledge of food safety preferred.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently.
