Food Safety & Brand Standards Specialist

Job Summary

Food Safety Specialist responsible for supporting hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients in maintaining brand standards, ensuring high food quality, and delivering customer‑focused service.

• Conduct assessments that measure conformity to regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards.
• Observe food preparation and cooking standards to ensure food safety, health, and sanitation practices.
• Partner with clients to address root causes of assessment discrepancies and develop corrective action plans.
• Teach and coach clients to create a safer and healthier workplace for themselves and their customers.
• Travel 50–70% of the time, or 8–10 days per month, including some evening and weekend work.
• Conduct audits and inspections, implement and monitor food safety training, educate staff, investigate incidents, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain documentation.
• Influence others with tact and skill, provide clear and constructive feedback, and thrive in an autonomous work environment.
• Work a flexible schedule and organize and prioritize workload based on urgency and efficiency.

• Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
• CP‑FS certification or ability to obtain it.
• Serv Safe or CP‑FS certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and strong communication, listening, organization, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, Saturdays and evenings as needed.
• Strong technical knowledge of food safety preferred.
• Ability to work flexibly and independently.
