Store Clerk (6107

Overview

This position is a part-time role with benefits located at PMC-CAC Wyoming Family Store, Charleston, WV 25302. The Store Clerk function supports customers and store operations, including donation processing, item selection and purchase, cash register operation, customer inquiries, and maintaining clean, secure store displays.

• Assists store customers in donating, selecting, and purchasing store items; operates and maintains a cash register; responds to customers' questions; maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of store displays; ensures the security of store items and the cash register.
• The Sorting Room function involves receiving products, sorting, pricing, and preparing donated items for display in the store.
• Determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards.
• Assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the store.
• Runs the register and assists customers as needed.

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively.
• Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
• Ability and willingness to conduct all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization of The Salvation Army.
• Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) frequently.

• High School diploma or GED, and experience working in a retail store preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
