Essential Job Functions:

• Respond to fire emergencies as a trained Fire Fighter.
• Respond to other emergencies including confined space rescue.
• Respond to Security calls, incidents, and events.
• Respond to Emergency Medical calls and provide First‑Aid.
• Stand an access point post, determine access, and direct traffic.
• Communicate in clear understandable English by two‑way radio, telephone, computer, and hard‑copy written information.
• Record and disseminate appropriate information regarding access.
• View, recognize, and act on appropriate security issues from active observation and by utilizing the CCTV camera displays.
• Review, check, and process entering and exiting personnel for rule compliance.
• Review, check, process, and activate access controls involving automated gates.
• Monitor, interact, and respond in a timely manner to the fire alarm system electronic notifications.
• Ensure guest and employee safety and security.
• Conduct investigations and write clear, concise reports.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Ensure facility security.
• Engage in positive Guest and Team Member interaction under all types of conditions.
• Provide customer service and hospitality through consistent demonstration of the ten essential attributes.
• Ability to handle extremely stressful situations.
• Conduct foot and vehicle formal fire‑watch patrols utilizing electronic recording devices.
• Drive a department patrol vehicle on public and private, improved and unimproved, roadways, trails, paths, including mountainous terrain.
• Drive, position, and operate the department’s fire apparatus under routine and emergency operations.

• Maintain professional calm demeanor during encounters with guest, visitors, or team members.
• Maintain professional (clean, neat) appearance.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.

Working Hours:

Shifts – 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.

To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate must meet the following criteria
, in addition to the Ten Essential Attributes for All Team Members.

• Firefighter / Emergency Medical Service and/or Law Enforcement / Military experience preferred.
• Security service experience preferred.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.

• Ability to effectively communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone.
• Report writing skills.

• Current certification as a WV Firefighter Level 1 or higher.
• Ability to achieve confined space entry and rescue certification.
• Current certification in a recognized Basic First‑Aid program or higher.
• Current certification in a recognized Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) program.
• Ability to obtain American Hotel and Lodging Association Certified Lodging Security Officer certification or an equivalent certification as specified by the Director of Security.
• Must achieve and maintain all training and technical requirements as listed in this EJF.
