Plumber
The plumber provides general repair, maintenance, and installation of utility lines and systems necessary for heat, water, and sewage disposal in school system facilities for the efficient maintenance and preventive maintenance of school system plants. Includes kitchen and pool maintenance, waste water plants and all plumbing in HVAC Systems.
High School diploma or equivalent, criminal background check conducted, meet the definition of "Qualifications" in WV Code §18A-4-8b, demonstrated competency, training through the formal apprenticeship or equivalent experience in plumbing crafts. Journeyman Plumber's License issued by the WV Department of Labor required. Ability to read blueprints required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, walk, stoop, reach, lift, pull, and push. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, the ability to adjust focus. Occasionally the employee will lift up to 100 pounds such as to lift files and materials.
The work setting is indoors as well as outdoors. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud (60
-90 dB).
