Title I Family Support Worker
The Title I Family Support Worker collaborates with school staff, families, community agencies, and local organizations to improve student attendance, engagement, and overall success. This position works closely with administrators, counselors, teachers, and attendance personnel to identify and support students experiencing attendance challenges through home visits, family outreach, and coordination of community resources. The Family Support Worker helps identify barriers to attendance, develops action plans with families and school teams, facilitates family and community engagement activities, and builds partnerships that strengthen connections between home, school, and community.
Responsibilities also include monitoring and documenting program effectiveness, maintaining accurate records, supporting initiatives that improve attendance and reduce disciplinary concerns, and participating in ongoing professional development. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication and organizational skills, knowledge of community resources and family engagement practices, and a commitment to supporting students and families through collaborative, solution-focused approaches.
