Schedule:

Temporary - full time (up to 40 hours weekly)

This position is responsible for:

• Helping the Area Commander Schedule Bell Ringers according to the facilities available for ringing for that day.
• Schedule drivers to transport all bell rings out to the sites and return them at the end of the day.
• Help coordinate Angel tree pick-ups from locations.
• Set up signs at our ringing sites.
• Orient volunteers to the Corps facility’s physical layout and operation, and to pertinent Salvation Army policies and operating procedures.
• Keep the work area and vehicles clean, orderly, and in safe operating condition.

• Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
• Knowledge of basic math
• Skill in organizing and prioritizing tasks
• Skill in paying attention to detail, particularly in the manipulation and recording of numbers
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to compile and summarize information
• Ability to lead by example and delegate tasks to others
• Knowledge of inventory control techniques, as well as logistics knowledge
• Ability to work in an organized manner with minimal supervision
• Ability to manage multiple, competing deadlines

• The working environment is a warehouse without air condition/heat and with a cement floor where a majority of the day is spent.
• Temperatures in the warehouse and dock area might at times be very cold depending on the varying weather and temperatures during the Christmas season.
• Temperatures vary from approximately 30 degrees to below 0 in the winter.
• The position involves going in and out of the warehouse facility throughout the day.

• High School diploma or GED, and experience working in a retail store preferred, OR
• any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• Valid driver's license
