Minimum Experience Requirement

* Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience working in a Data Center or Low Voltage / Structured Cabling environment

Job Description This role is a hands-on Data Center Technician position focused on physical installation and cabling work inside a data center. This is not an IT, networking, or engineering role.

Responsibilities include:

* Installing and removing data center cabling and infrastructure

* Performing rack and stack of equipment

* Pulling, routing, dressing, and labeling low-voltage copper and fiber cables

* Installing and maintaining cables in racks, overhead ladder racks, and under raised floors

* Assisting with MDF and IDF closet layout and organization

* Decommissioning equipment and cabling per project instructions

* Creating and applying labels according to port maps

* Identifying live cables versus decommissioned cables

* Performing basic copper and fiber testing

* Installing ladder rack and basic seismic bracing

* Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas

* Following all safety procedures, job instructions, and quality standards

* Completing required paperwork and documentation

* Taking daily direction from lead technicians and supervisors
Required

Skills & Qualifications

* At least 6 months of hands-on experience in:

* Data Center environments or

* Low voltage / structured cabling work

* Experience pulling and dressing low-voltage cabling

* Basic understanding of copper and fiber cabling

* Ability to use basic telecom and hand tools

* Ability to read simple floor plans or drawings

* Strong attention to detail and labeling standards

* Willingness to perform physical work throughout the day

* Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

* Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

* Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods

* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

* Ability to pull cable and work with hands and tools

* Ability to climb ladders and work under raised floors
