Position OverviewThe Operations Manager oversees the day‑to‑day operations of the warehouse. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating various departments, ensuring smooth workflow, driving P&L results, and achieving operational goals. Responsibilities include overseeing production processes, managing budgets, implementing efficiency strategies, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday‑Friday
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping, to ensure timely and accurate execution of tasks.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to streamline workflow, improve productivity, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Manage reports, statistical analysis, and daily P&L reporting, which may include participating in daily P&L calls with Corporate management.
- Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and optimize inventory management processes to minimize stock outs, overstock, and inventory holding costs.
- Meet or surpass daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with accurate reporting that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
- Lead and motivate warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a positive and high‑performing team culture.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, such as logistics, procurement, and customer service, to coordinate warehouse operations and address customer needs and requirements.
- Communicate effectively with Corporate management and customers to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), meet customer expectations, and promptly resolve any issues that may arise.
- Engage in employee relations initiatives, promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
- Provide the next level of support for escalated issues during work shifts.
- Collaborate with Corporate to facilitate escalations involving corporate resources (IT, network, etc.) for troubleshooting or process improvement purposes.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and generate reports for analysis and decision‑making.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
- All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.
- Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience (preferably in a high‑volume, fast‑paced production, manufacturing, distribution, or warehousing environment) with experience working with P&L/budgets.
- Proficiency in managing a demanding workload, prioritizing tasks, and consistently meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data‑driven decisions.
- Capability to work independently and engage proactively within the warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control software, and MS Office.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate, motivate, and influence individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Effective problem‑solving abilities and decision‑making skills, with a strategic mindset and a focus on results and continuous improvement.
- Proficient knowledge of Project Management and the importance of prioritizing deadlines.
- General knowledge of OSHA Standards.
- Experience working with UKG and Kronos.
- Experience supervising temporary staff.
- Technical background.
- Advanced communication skill flexibility.
