Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Rehabilitation for a 13‑week assignment in Charlestown, Massachusetts.

- One year of recent experience as a Rehab RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
The Rehabilitation Nurse (Rehab RN) provides comprehensive care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or illnesses that require rehabilitative treatment. This role involves nursing assessments, implementing care plans, monitoring progress, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to help patients regain optimal physical, functional, and emotional well‑being.
Essential Work Functions- Complete nursing assessment of patients on the unit and document appropriately into patient records
- Prepare patients for surgery, including education about procedures and post‑operative care
- Coordinate and provide holistic patient care, including mobility support, rehabilitation exercises, and ADLs, while ensuring adherence to individualized care plans
- Monitor and evaluate patients’ responses to therapeutic interventions, documenting progress and communicating deviations to the interdisciplinary team
- Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized environment and ensure rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies and equipment for rehabilitation care
- Assist with safe patient transport to and from therapy sessions, diagnostic procedures, or other care areas as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Critical thinking, excellent interpersonal communication skills
- English literacy – read, write, understand instructions, verbal communication, and PC proficiency
- Physical abilities – able to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend
- Interpersonal skills – work effectively with personnel, present positive attitude and professionalism
- Technical/motor skills – perform fine manipulation, use equipment during procedures
- Mental requirements – handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, occasional close supervision or independent work, manage irregular schedule, maintain concentration to detail
