SUMMARY
Maximize residents’ success, satisfaction, and ownership in their living and working environment through effective skills training and relationship building. Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment within the residential program. Provide client‑driven services that ensure quality and excellence in client care and recovery.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Available to cover shifts at any residential program, including traveling between programs.
- Facilitate ADL skill building for residential living and community integration, supervising and teaching clients daily medication routines, budgeting, self‑preservation skills, transportation, etc.
- Participate on a multidisciplinary team in developing and implementing client treatment plans and progress reviews.
- Coordinate and monitor treatment services for all assigned clients, including contact with family, other staff, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Monitor the effectiveness of care by comparing service provided with outcomes specified in the treatment plan.
- Provide shift coverage for household maintenance, meal preparation, and assistance with medical, psychiatric, or behavioral crises.
- Assist in conflict resolution, symptom management, and crisis response.
- Attend supervision and team meetings as required.
- Maintain current knowledge of agency policies and procedures.
- Work first and second shift, holidays, and weekends as assigned.
- Ensure safety and security of Gateway office areas and residential programs, including checking locks and monitoring resident whereabouts.
- Schedule and facilitate treatment plan meetings using assessment information and client/family participation.
- Screen for substance abuse, provide assessment, counseling/education, and referrals.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
- Remain on shift until relieved by another staff member (may work two consecutive shifts).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to perform routine household chores involving lifting and bending.
- Effective communication with clients and staff in person and by telephone.
- CPR certification and first‑aid training required.
- Valid chauffeur’s license and ability to use the program van or personally owned vehicle to transport clients.
- Strong reading and comprehension of instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to complete all clinical and administrative documentation accurately.
- Proficiency in writing correspondence, reports, care plans, etc.
- Effective presentation skills for one‑on‑one and group situations.
- Access emergency resources and manage crisis situations.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of organization policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
- Problem‑solving skills in varied, less standardized scenarios.
- Interpretation of written, oral, and diagrammatic instructions.
- Successful completion of all required training and certifications.
- Good oral and written communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and legibility.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
$18.00 - $27.13 per hour
