CMM Programmer - Charlotte Area

$59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

• Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs using specified software.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, 3D models, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and in-process dimensional validations.
• Analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Troubleshoot CMM program errors and optimize measurement processes for accuracy and efficiency.
• Select and configure appropriate CMM probes, styli, and fixturing for various part geometries.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve measurement challenges and improve product quality.

• Proficiency with CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Solid understanding of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and inspection processes.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting CMM equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and recommend solutions.

• Proficiency with advanced CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, CATIA) for model manipulation or fixture design.
• Experience with other metrology equipment such as laser scanners, vision systems, or optical comparators.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis techniques.
• Ability to design and/or fabricate custom inspection fixtures.
