Lean Manufacturing Engineer | Charlotte, MI

Salary Range: $74,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Charlotte seeking Lean Manufacturing Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping).
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify waste, bottlenecks, and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing layouts, workflows, and production systems.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on Lean principles and tools for all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize work, improve quality, and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Lean initiatives and operational efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of new technologies and automation to enhance manufacturing capabilities.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
  • Familiarity with advanced data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Python, R) for process optimization.
  • Project management experience, particularly with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts and technologies (e.g., IoT, AI, automation) in a manufacturing context.
