• Hourly wage: $19.89 per hour

• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Guard posts at the entry/exit points of the local base.
• Conduct foot & vehicle patrols of the interior and exterior of the grounds to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas.
• Check for employee, vendor, and visitor identifications.
• Look for suspicious persons, packages and activities.
• Follow site specific post guidelines.
• Document daily activities and report all incidents.
• Other duties as assigned.

• At least 18 years old and have at least a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 21 years old and be a Michigan CPL or LEOSA cardholder to perform armed security work.
• Must not have been convicted of any felonies or misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances, or two or more alcohol related offenses.
• Must pass a drug screening at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
• Must adhere to the company’s Uniform and Appearance policy and present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
• Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to de-escalate situations non-confrontationally and be fluent in English.
• Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license and a clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations, 2 at-fault accidents, and no other major violations in the last 3 years).
• Must be willing to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified and be capable of administering this care in emergency situations.
• Must pass a Physical Agility Test within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Must be physically and mentally sound, able to stay alert during shifts (8–12 hours), sit, stand, walk long distances, navigate stairs, handle tools, hear conversations in noisy environments, lift up to 70 lbs, and work independently with little or no supervision.
• Armed security officers must complete a psychological evaluation upon hire.
