Accounts Receivable​/Collections Specialist

Job Overview – AR Specialist – 34057

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist to join our client on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can manage both collections and cash application responsibilities while supporting their transition to a new ERP system.

Compensation: $25/hr

• Manage customer collections (approx. 60% of role), including follow-ups on overdue invoices and dispute resolution
• Perform cash postings, process daily lockbox transactions, and reconcile accounts (approx. 40% of role)
• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate AR records
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues
• Support ERP integration activities, ensuring accurate data transfer and reporting during the S4
  
  Hana implementation

• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, or similar roles
• Experience with SAP or other large ERP systems; familiarity with S4
  
  Hana is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work independently

• Must be a full-time employee (30+ weekly hours/+130 hours per month) to be eligible
• Medical plan offered is BCBSNC Blue Options PPO
• Premiums will be pre-taxed
