Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy, and supporting essential accounting operations. This position is ideal for professionals seeking a dynamic opportunity within the financial services industry.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

- Oversee billing functions, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.

- Perform account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data.

- Handle general accounting tasks, including journal entries and expense tracking.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

- Analyze financial discrepancies and propose corrective actions to maintain accuracy.

- Prepare reports and documentation to support audits and financial reviews.

- Maintain organized and updated records for all accounting activities.

- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

- Provide support for special projects and additional accounting tasks as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Strong knowledge of billing functions and account reconciliation.

- Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.

- Proficiency in financial software and tools.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to analyze data and resolve discrepancies effectively.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all financial tasks.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
