Senior Manager – Commercial Practice

Senior Managers oversee multiple engagements for clients ranging from multinational corporations to early‑stage start‑ups.

• Maintain communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, remain current on legislative changes, and lead change effectively.
• Conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns – including federal and state filings.
• Provide ASC 740 tax provision support and review preparation.
• Engage in business development activities (prepare proposals; present webinars; collaborate with other service lines to present comprehensive tax strategy to prospective and current clients).
• Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate interns, associates, and senior associates.
• Receive formal corporate tax training, on‑the‑job training, direct feedback from senior leaders, and opportunities to pursue additional training.

• 6+ years relevant work experience in an accounting firm, at least 5 years of corporate tax experience.
• Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree – Accounting, Economics, or related degree preferred.
• Advanced credential allowing representation of clients before the IRS required (e.g., CPA or JD).
• Self‑starter with initiative to seek opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Proficient use of technology.
