About the Position:

Our client is a large, growing organization seeking an experienced Fixed Asset Accounting Manager to lead the accounting, reporting, and internal controls for a significant capital asset portfolio. Reporting to senior finance leadership, this individual will oversee all aspects of fixed asset accounting while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, supporting technical accounting matters, and driving process improvements across the accounting function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the monthly accounting and reporting activities related to the company's capital asset portfolio, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Prepare and present fixed asset results, trends, and key insights to finance leadership.
  • Oversee the month‑end close process for fixed assets, including journal entries, account reconciliations, roll forwards, and financial analyses.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Tax, Treasury, and other business functions to support financial reporting, capital planning, and strategic decision‑making.
  • Monitor capital projects to ensure assets are placed into service timely and accounted for appropriately.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance related to capitalization policies, asset impairments, and other complex fixed asset matters.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit requests related to fixed assets and ensure compliance with internal control requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through automation, technology, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and develop accounting staff while promoting a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
Experience:
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, fixed asset accounting, technical accounting research, and internal controls.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA designation required.
  • Prior leadership experience managing and developing accounting professionals.
  • Experience preparing account reconciliations, roll forwards, financial analyses, and technical accounting documents.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with large ERP systems and preferred financial reporting tools.
  • Experience utilizing business intelligence or reporting tools such as Power BI is a plus.
