Job Overview

Accounting Clerk (Charlotte, NC) – Salary: $23–$25 per hour.

As an Accounting Clerk you will perform a variety of accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures, including reconciling bank accounts, posting to and balancing general or subsidiary ledgers, processing payments, compiling segments of monthly closings and annual reports, identifying discrepancies and determining alternative courses of action, and classifying or coding transactions to appropriate accounts. You may contact other departments or outside agencies to resolve common problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile bank accounts and post to general/subsidiary ledgers.
  • Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports.
  • Identify discrepancies and determine resolution actions.
  • Classify and code transactions to appropriate accounts.
  • Coordinate with other departments and external agencies to resolve issues.
  • Manage purchase orders through Zycus P2P platform.
  • Approve banking wire transfers and ensure documentation.
  • Reconcile purchasing card transactions and handle returns.
  • Prepare and examine test checks for bank certification.
  • Oversee printing and mailing of Canadian accounts payable checks.
What You Bring
  • Experience in a manufacturing or publicly traded company.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with electronic workflow and document management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
