Part-Time, In-Person Position

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, AM shift (approximately 25 hours/week)

 Pay: $18.50/hr.

Summary:

Responsible for computing, classifying, recording, and verifying
 numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no direct supervisory
 responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following:

* Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating
    business transactions.
  
* Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received
    and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and
    databases.
  
* Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies, and
    approves for payment.
  
* Investigates problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining
    payment for bills.
  
* Computes and records charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight
    charges, rentals, and similar items.
  
* Prepares vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other
    records, and reviews for accuracy.
  
* Reconciles general ledger accounts with various registers.
  
* Extracts general ledger information.
  
* Compiles cost reports and revenue and balance sheets.
  
* Reconciles bank statements.
  
* Monitors loans and accounts payable and receivable to ensure that payments
    are up to date.
  
* Reconciles report discrepancies and problems.
  
* Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company
    procedures.
  
* Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.
  
* Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions
    related to accounts, procedures, and services.
  
* Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
  
* Participates in required training
  
* Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system     
  
* Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
  
* Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values
  
* Complies with Company policies and procedures
  
* Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations
    in the performance of duties.

 effectively with company personnel.

Attendance Expectations:

 The position requires regular and predictable attendance.  Scheduled shifts may
 include evening hours, weekends, and some holidays.

Physical Demands:

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to
 talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger,
 handle, or feel.

Environment Demands:

 Duties are performed primarily at a desk in an office setting and some
 warehouse.  Work includes frequent clerical and administrative responsibilities
 and interaction with managers and employees.

Verbal and Writing Ability:

 Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Math Ability:

 Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to calculate figures and
 amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages,
 area, circumference, and volume.
