As a Manager, Accounting & Controllership, you will lead critical accounting and financial reporting activities that support Carrier's business operations and strategic objectives. In this role, you will ensure compliance with statutory and US GAAP requirements, maintain a strong internal control environment, and provide valuable financial guidance to business partners. You will also have the opportunity to lead a team, drive process improvements, and contribute to the overall financial success of the organization.
This position follows a hybrid work model (3 days in the office, 2 days remote), in one of the following work locations:
Charlotte(NC) / East Syracuse(NY) / Palm Beach Gardens(FL).
- Participate in the month-end closing process for Automated Logic Contracting Services (ALC Field Operations)
- Review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for ALC Field Operations.
- Support Percentage Of Completion (POC) accounting functions, and other complex estimates/calculations.
- Provide CFIN and HFM support and prepare financial data (including HFM supplemental data).
- Provide balance sheet fluctuation analyses.
- Maintain accounting & SOX (level
2) standard work documentation (GAAP Assessment, etc.) and internal/external audits - Maintain a strong internal controls environment
- Special ad-hoc projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting / finance / business administration / economics / commerce.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting.
- 5+ years experience with Microsoft Office applications at a proficient level.
- 2+ years managing a team.
Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
- Master's Degree in accounting / Finance.
- Experience working in a service or manufacturing environment is a great asset.
- CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition and capitalization accounting.
- Experience with using Microsoft Dynamics
- Demonstrated success communicating with senior leaders, collaborating across functions, and presenting financial information clearly.
- Adaptable to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy within a diverse organization
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction; visa sponsorship is not available.
The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $ annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
