Accounting Process Improvement Analyst

Krispy Kreme's Accounting Process Improvement Analyst will play a key role in driving operational excellence across the accounting organization. This individual will partner closely with Accounting, Finance, IT, and cross-functional teams to identify process gaps, implement best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role will be responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and standardizing accounting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, internal controls, and compliance, while helping reduce manual effort and support scalable growth.

A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Accounting Process Analysis & Optimization

* Analyze accounting and business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, control gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

* Evaluate current-state processes and design future-state workflows that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

* Partner with process owners to assess challenges and recommend practical solutions that enhance operational performance.

Automation & Systems Enhancement

* Identify opportunities to automate manual accounting activities and improve workflow efficiency.

* Support implementation, enhancement, integration, and optimization of ERP system, financial applications, and reporting tools.

* Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with business needs and objectives.

Compliance & Controls

* Ensure process improvement initiatives maintain or strengthen internal controls and compliance requirements.

* Support development of sustainable processes that improve auditability, transparency, and accountability.

Project Management & Change Leadership

* Manage multiple process improvement projects simultaneously, tracking milestones, deliverables, dependencies and risks.

* Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful implementation and adoption of process improvements.

Data Analytics & Performance Measurement

* Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.

* Quantify the impact of process inefficiencies and track realized benefits from implemented solutions.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:

* 3+ years of relevant experience

* BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Business.

* MBA, CPA, and/or process improvement certification (Lean, Six Sigma, PMP) is a plus.

* Strong understanding of accounting processes including close, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting

* Experience with ERP or financial systems, reporting tools, and automation solutions is preferred

* Experience supporting project management activities, including planning, tracking milestones, managing deliverables, and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

* Shows strong organization and prioritization abilities

* Is comfortable operating in evolving environments

* Brings a continuous improvement mindset

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence accounting, technical, and non-technical stakeholders
