Controller, Accounting, Financial Compliance

Controller Position

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Controller position. Position type:
Full-time, Contract Duration: 6-month contract with possibility for extension and/or conversion

Location:

Charlotte, NC

As a Controller, you will:

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and revenue recognition
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Analyze financial results and provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax and financial regulations
• Develop, document, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
• Coordinate and manage external audits and tax filings
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff
• Support process improvements and financial system enhancements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Quickbooks expertise (all internal Accounting/Finance) is on Quick Books currently
• Accounts payable experience, running payroll, invoicing experience
• Strong experience with collections, receipts and invoice categorization
• Experience managing the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Experience in a professional service or staffing environment preferred
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Pay Range*: $75 - $80 per hour
* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
