Fund Accounting Associate

Weare seeking a highly motivated Fund Accounting Associate to join our client'steam. In this critical role, you will work closely with the Manager of Fund Accounting, Senior Director of Accounting, Chief Financial Officer, and the broader leadership team to execute the financial reporting and operations ofprivate equity real estate investment funds. You will also collaborate withthird-party fund administrators, external auditors, and tax consultants todeliver high-quality financial reporting to investors.

• Prepare and review fund-level quarterly financial statements, ensuring compliance withGAAP, ILPA guidelines, and industry standards.
• Coordinatemonthly close procedures within a defined timeframe, in collaboration with thethird-party fund administrator and investment accounting team.
• Reviewworkpapers, fee calculations, waterfalls, and investor statements.
• Reviewsecured debt quarterly compliance reports.
• Facilitateannual audits of various investment vehicles.
• Maintain and document policies and procedures around financial reporting, internal controls, and other accounting processes.
• Work closely with the external tax team on information requests, data analysis,registrations, filings, and return reviews.
• ManageREIT compliance and serve as a liaison between asset managers and tax consultants.
• Maintainquarterly variance reporting at the fund level.
• Provide acquisition and transaction support for the Investments team.

• Strong analytical and technical accounting skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Yardi and/or Workiva is a big plus.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and fair value accounting principles.
• Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and capable of making effective independentjudgments.
• Acuteattention to detail and a passion for quality.
• Excellent organizational and process management skills to handle multiple priorities.
• Abilityto meet critical deadlines and work independently.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience in commercial real estate and/or fund accounting is a plus.
• Eagerness to collaborate with a small internal team and external third-party vendors.

• Bachelor'sdegree in accounting or a business-related field.
• Master’sdegree or CPA is a plus.
• 2+years of experience in a public or private mix.
