Mechanical Category Cost Specialist

• Build and maintain cost models for mechanical components and assemblies.
• Conduct detailed cost breakdowns and identify cost drivers.
• Engage directly with suppliers to review cost structures.
• Lead supplier cost workshops and technical reviews.
• Provide fact-based cost insights to strengthen negotiations.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance on cost expectations and improvement initiatives.
• Support product costing initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree plus 6 or more years of experience in procurement, sourcing, cost engineering, or a related field.
• The right blend of commercial and technical background.
• Solid understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes.
• Experience building cost models and conducting cost analysis for mechanical components.
• Ability to lead cost-focused conversations with both suppliers and internal engineering teams.
• Strong analytical mindset, business acumen, and comfort working across global, matrixed teams.
• Proficiency in Excel and standard procurement or analytical tools.
• Fluency in English required.
• Ability to travel 10 to 50% as required.
