We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our payroll accounting function (not payroll processing) following a recent migration of HCM systems. Working as part of a two-person team, this individual will reconcile payroll to source data across weekly on/off cycles, analyzing, researching, and compiling the differences that have arisen since the system conversion to determine whether manual adjustments are warranted.
The role involves a retroactive review spanning from October 2024 to present, requiring strong critical-thinking skills and a solid understanding of payroll mechanics—specifically how payroll works and when journal entries are necessary. Proficiency with Oracle is preferred, along with experience preparing journal entries in SAP. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can dig into the details and think through reconciliation issues independently, rather than someone who relies solely on software-generated output.
